If mama ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy!

You've probably heard this line from an old movie. All too often, imbalances in a woman's normal hormone levels can make life unpleasant for her as well as her family members. The hormone estrogen, necessary for a great many functions, can cause PMS when it's too high, and lead to the hot flushes and other symptoms during menopause, when production naturally drops off. Thus, achieving hormone balance is something that benefits everyone!

Dangers of estrogen
Recent research has highlighted the potential dangers of estrogen therapy, however, which has led many women to find safer, more natural alternatives. Fortunately, science has shown that there are effective and safe alternatives. (I've included several articles below that discuss a small sample of this scientific research. I hope you take a moment and read these articles!)

Natural Strategies
I recently attended a seminar taught by Dr. Joel Evans, a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) who is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and also in private practice in Darien, CT. Dr. Evans showed how he has been able to help women achieve healthy hormone balances with more natural approaches using a variety of dietary supplements, herbs and other therapies. I found this information absolutely fascinating and have begun applying some of these same therapies in my practice.

Let's talk!
The next time you're in my office, let's talk about how natural alternatives to estrogen therapy might be just what is needed to make you (or someone you love) feel better and enjoy life more. Better yet, call now to make an appointment!
